Restorative Yoga

Restorative yoga classes are characterized by a slow-paced and deeply relaxing practice that involves holding yoga poses for extended periods with the support of props like blocks, bolsters, and blankets. Participants experience a sense of motionlessness and shapelessness, allowing for physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. The focus is on achieving deep relaxation through stillness, breath awareness, and complete support from props, promoting balance in the body and mind.

Hatha & Vinyasa Flow

Hatha yoga classes focus on slow and deliberate movements into various poses that challenge strength and flexibility. Emphasis is placed on controlled breathing, posture, and relaxation. Poses are typically held for several breaths before transitioning to the next one. Hatha yoga is suitable for beginners or those looking for a more relaxed pace to improve core strength, flexibility, and reduce stress.

Vinyasa yoga classes involve a flow of poses linked with breath, moving from one pose to the next at a faster pace. These styles may be blended for a wonderful yoga class.

Yin Yoga

Yin yoga classes typically involve a series of long-held, passive floor poses that target the lower part of the body, focusing on areas rich in connective tissues like the hips, pelvis, and lower spine. These poses are held for extended periods, often up to five minutes or more. The practice is almost entirely passive, promoting relaxation and avoiding muscle engagement to prevent spasm. Yin yoga offers benefits such as improved circulation, flexibility, stress reduction, joint mobility, and emotional balance through meridian stimulation.
